To find out how Christmas trees affect human health, researchers at the Northern State University of Medicine looked at clippings from 28 different types of Christmas trees, including needles and bark.
As it turned out, the danger of the Christmas tree is that it contains allergens. In addition, scientists noted that it also has 53 types of mold. All this can provoke a headache in a person. Allergy sufferers, in turn, react rather quickly to the aroma of plants and herbs. For them, the tree can lead to coughs, runny nose and even ear pains.
