According to the expert, in Asia, mangoes are called the “king of fruits” due to the huge amount of vitamins and minerals. This fruit contains even more vitamin C than lemon – 65 mg per 100 grams of fruit.
But even despite such benefits, there are people, especially Russians, who have an individual intolerance to the fruit. In this case, it cannot be consumed in order to avoid constant allergic reactions. Also, mango should be limited to anyone who has high blood sugar. Mango is a very sweet fruit and can cause insulin spikes, so it is contraindicated for diabetics.
The doctor also advised limiting the consumption of mangoes to 50 grams and eating it only after the main meal in order to prevent the rise in sugar.
