People with intestinal diseases, in particular enterocolitis, should be treated with caution. The fact is that cabbage contains fiber, which will provoke, at least, bloating and flatulence, and as a maximum – exacerbations.
In addition, cabbage will be harmful to those who have had gastrointestinal surgery. It also should not be eaten by small children under two years old. Patients with pancreatitis should consume the vegetable only in boiled or stewed form and in an amount of no more than 100 grams per day.
