Which Soviet spacecraft first visited Venus

The spacecraft that was able to land on Venus was a capsule of the Venera-7 interplanetary station. Now this capsule is still on the indicated planet, and it is not clear how well it was preserved at all.

It should be noted that this was not the first attempt to launch. In fact, spacecraft were launched into space two at a time. All previous pairs, except for “Venus-7”, reached the planet. But at the same time, communication with them at an altitude of 18 km was lost. Thanks to attempts to launch Venera-5 and Venera-6, the engineers modified the apparatus itself. As a result, it was this model that managed to transfer all the necessary data to scientists.
