New Delhi. Reliance Jio has once again won in terms of 4G download speed. Let us tell you that according to the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for the month of March, Jio’s average 4G download speed was measured at 21.1 Mbps. Compared to the month of February, it saw a jump of 0.5 Mbps. Jio’s average 4G download speed in the month of February was 20.6 Mbps. Apart from Jio, only the government company BSNL has increased the speed. Its 4G download speed was measured at 6.1 Mbps in March as against 4.8 Mbps in February.
Data shows that the 4G speed of telecom giants, Airtel and Vi (Vodafone-Idea), decreased in March. Airtel suffered the most, its 4G download speed decreased by 1.3 Mbps in March as compared to the previous month. At the same time, in terms of speed, the Vi also suffered a loss of 0.5 Mbps. Airtel’s speed was 13.7 Mbps while Vi India’s speed was 17.9 Mbps.
Like every time, this time too Reliance Jio has once again defeated Airtel and Vi in terms of average 4G download speed. In the month of March, Jio’s 4G download speed was 7.4 mbps more than Airtel and 3.2 mbps more than Vi India. Reliance Jio has consistently held the number one position in average 4G download speeds for the past several years. Vi India remains at number two and has pushed Bharti Airtel to number three.
Bharti Airtel is also at number three in average 4G upload speed like downloads. The company’s average upload speed in the month of March was measured at 6.1 Mbps. Vi India topped the chart with average 4G upload speed with 8.2 Mbps. Reliance Jio won the second number with its upload speed of 7.3 Mbps. BSNL also tried its best to compete with an average upload speed of 5.1 Mbps. ,
The average speed is calculated by TRAI on the basis of real time data collected with the help of MySpeed application.
