This was reported by virus analysts from Doctor Web. They clarified that the games containing it have already been installed by at least 9.3 million owners of Android smartphones.
When launching games with this malware, it asks for permission to control phone calls. To give it, the trojan collects and transmits the following data to a remote server: mobile phone number, device location, various parameters of the mobile network, such as network code, mobile country code, device specifications, parameters from the metadata of the application into which the trojan is embedded.
In total, Android.Cynos.7 was found in 190 games. Among them are simulators, platformers, arcades, strategies and shooters. Some of them have Russian-language names and descriptions. These are, for example, such games: “The team must kill the warhead”, Cat game room and Drive school simulator.
