Currently, critical updates are only available to companies that still use Windows 7 on their devices, and are not shipped to regular users. ESU support will also end in almost a year. This will happen on January 10, 2023.
After this date, Windows 7 will “die” permanently, so devices that still have this operating system installed will need to be updated to continue receiving updates.
It is worth noting that Windows 11 has already been released. You can upgrade to it for free from licensed Windows 10.
