It is reported that the launch vehicle should be launched in 2026. Earlier, China’s space agency has already mentioned plans for a lunar program. In total, the country has two projects of a super-heavy rocket to deliver people and goods to the moon. The first and more powerful is the CZ-9. Such a rocket will be able to put about 140 tons into low-earth orbit.
The second project does not yet have a public name. It should be a “bunch” of “Changzheng-5” missiles. Three boosters from the modified CZ-5 first stages can be used as the first stage of such a carrier. The second stage will be based on the Changzheng-5 rocket module. Such a carrier will be able to “pull” a manned spacecraft.
