An official of the Central Region Power Distribution Company said, “We have taken a step forward in promoting digital payments. There are many options for paying electricity bills. Now we have added WhatsApp-Pay as an option for the convenience of customers. Electricity bill can now be paid easily through WhatsApp-Pay feature. Users can link their bank account using WhatsApp account. If they don’t have WhatsApp Pay facility, they can make UPI payment through Google Pay, Phone Pay or Paytm.
How to pay?
To avail this new facility, the user has to save the company’s toll free number 07552551222 in his phone and chat on it via WhatsApp. Here you have to complete your payment using view and pay bill option. After the payment is completed, you will receive a confirmation message.
