WhatsApp News: WhatsApp banned more than 22 lakh accounts in India in June, know the reason

WhatsApp Update: META-owned WhatsApp banned more than 22 lakh accounts in India in the month of June in compliance with the new IT regulations, 2021. The company has given this information on Tuesday. The platform had banned over 19 lakh objectionable accounts in the country in May. The messaging platform received 632 complaints within the country in June, out of which 64 were acted upon.

The company’s spokesperson said in a statement, “WhatsApp is the industry leader in preventing abuse among end-to-end encrypted messaging services. Over the years, we have continuously invested in artificial intelligence and other cutting-edge technology, data scientists and experts and processes to keep our users safe on our platform.”

WhatsApp accounts were processed in violation of law
