What world leaders agreed on after the meeting on global climate anomalies: five main points

So what is the Climate Pact signed by the leaders of 197 countries in Glasgow? It contains five main points.

  1. There is progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but not enough… Several countries in the negotiations announced that now, thanks to the reduction in emissions, warming is expected not by 2.7 degrees Celsius, as previously indicated, but by 2.4 degrees. Several states have pledged to achieve net zero emissions by 2070 (India) and by 2060 (Nigeria). However, the warming by 2.4 degrees is still far from the target – 1.5 degrees Celsius.
  1. Countries will have to meet in the near future to announce their future plans… More precisely, in a year. States in 12 months will have to revise their climate policies to reduce the probability of warming reaching 1.5 degrees Celsius instead of 2.4 degrees. In addition, the pact states that it is necessary to reduce the use of unrefined coal, as well as subsidies for fossil fuels.
