The company last included a Pentium Gold or Celeron in its 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake lineup. Now, it is likely that the Blue team has decided to produce new versions of their entry-level processors in order to additionally release less expensive chips on sale during times of massive shortages.
We are talking about models Intel Pentium Gold G7400 and Celeron G6900. It is assumed that the two new processors will receive a dual-core design. The Pentium Gold chip will have Hyper-Threading support. The Pentium Gold G7400 will retail for $ 123 CAD, which equates to $ 97, and the Celeron G6900 will retail for $ 91 CAD, which equates to $ 72.
It is also reported that the two new processors will only be able to support productive cores. In addition, support for 6MB of L3 cache is expected for the Pentium Gold and 4MB for the Celeron.
