When choosing a smartphone, everyone in one way or another pays attention to its camera. For some, even it can be a key element of the apparatus. But it’s not that simple. The most important parameters that determine how good pictures will be taken by the camera of a mobile device are below.
- Megapixels and high definition cameras… In order to understand how useful the megapixels indicated in the specifications are, you need to take a few steps. First of all, highlight the purposes for which the cameras will be used. For example, if you need to take group shots, you will need a wide-angle lens in addition to the main one.
At the same time, you need to understand: sensors of the same resolution can produce different images. The most common manufacturers here are Sony (IMX sensors), Samsung (ISOCELL sensors), OmniVision.
- Optical stabilization and focusing methods… Stabilization is needed to get high-quality pictures and videos when walking or running. There is optical (OIS) and electronic (EIS) stabilization. The best of them is the optical one, since it allows you to smooth out vibrations on the lens or camera matrix. The methods of focusing also affect the photo: for example, if the shutter speed is short, then fast focusing is needed.
- Sensors in the combination chamber… From the point of view of functionality, the main and auxiliary sensors of the combined camera can be distinguished. Such sensors allow, for example, taking macro photos, wide-angle shots, etc.
