Moonroof

It is a type of sunroof and is being given in most cars. It is a glass panel found in the roof of the car. It can be opened by sliding. It is also called single pan sunroof. It is quite small in size. An example of this is the new Maruti Breja 2022.

Panoramic roof

As the name suggests, the panoramic sunroof gives a panoramic view of the sky above. It is quite large in size and is present in more than half the roof. An example of such sunroof is Tata Harrier. This glass panel usually consists of two parts. The next part slides open, while the back part does not open. In SUVs like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV700, panoramic sunroofs are also seen. While single pan sunroof is mostly found in sub-compact SUVs and hatchbacks like Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz.
