Sizov noted that when planning to steal money, attackers take into account a number of factors. The specialist, however, identified two of them – the initial data about the potential victim and the timing of communication with her.
“Some fraudulent attempts take place on an empty base, that is, conditionally, they only have a phone number and a name and patronymic of a potential victim. Then they need to get more information first ”, – said Sizov.
As for the time to call, attacks on bank customers are often carried out on Friday or weekends. This is due to the fact that it is on weekends that there are fewer qualified employees in banks who are able to correctly respond to the new scheme of fraudsters.
