Kolkata Police of West Bengal has arrested eight people including five CISF officers. These people are accused that they allegedly reached the house of a businessman to conduct fake raids and escaped by robbing cash and jewelry from the house. The case is related to the area of ​​Chinar Park in Bidhannagar Police Station Officer area. This incident took place around 2 pm on the night of 18 March.

According to police officials, the CISF officer came to Vinata Singh’s residence on the pretext of income tax, who lives with her family. A police source said, “As soon as the door opened, the accused entered inside and first he snatched the mobile phone of all the family members.”

After this, he entered the room where his mother lives and allegedly took three lakh rupees cash and jewelry worth Rs 25 lakh from that Russia. Also took a digital video recorder linked to CCTV cameras. The robbers forced the elderly woman to sign a fake seizure list, but did not copy her, which raised suspicion.

However, a strange thing in the raid came to light when the fake officials entered the room of the second wife of the businessman but went without taking anything. Police officer told that Vinita Singh, daughter of the businessman, found this suspect. He later investigated with the Income Tax Department and found that no official raids were conducted. After this, he lodged a complaint at Baguihati police station.

Clue from CCTV footage

Bidhannagar police investigated CCTV footage and identified the vehicle used by the suspects. The first arrest was made as Deepak Rana, the driver of the car, by detecting the registered details of the car. The entire conspiracy was exposed in his interrogation.

After this, the police arrested CISF Inspector Amit Kumar Singh posted in Farakka Barrage, Women Constable Laxmi Kumari posted in RG Kar Hospital for 4 months, constable Bimal Thapa, Head Constable Ramu Saroj and Constable Janardan Shah. Apart from this, the businessman’s second wife Aarti Singh, middleman and driver were also detained.

Further investigation revealed that this fake raid was conducted due to the property dispute between Vinita Singh and her step mother Aarti Singh after the death of Vinita’s father.

The accused raided themselves and made a mistake!

A police source said, “There was a family dispute between Aarti Singh and Vinita Singh over the property. That is why Vinita Singh’s step mother Aarti Singh and a relative contacted the CISF inspector and made a deal that whatever cash was found in the raid on Vinita Singh’s house, it would be distributed on the basis of 50-50. That is why this fake IT raids were made.

Bidhannagar (Airport Zone) DCP IPS Aishwarya Sagar said, “While leaving the house, the accused told the victim’s family that they would not need to contact, they will contact the family themselves. After the case, it was suspected about four-five hours after the case. Started. “

The IPS officer further said that through CCTV footage it was found that the accused had come by two vehicles, pick-up vans and bikes. The suspect was caught by tracing the car used during the raid.

He further said, “The driver of the car was first arrested and after questioning him, it was found that he was hired through a middle airport. The middleman was arrested from the New Airport Police Station area. After questioning him, it was found that a CISF officer had asked him to hire the car driver.”

IPS Aishwarya further said, “After gathering all the evidence, the CISF officer was arrested. After questioning him, four more CISF personnel with her were arrested during the alleged crime. A woman constable arrested has been on duty in the hospital for four months.
