Voter ID Card: How to Check Your Name in Voter List Online

Voter ID Card also known as Voter ID Card (EPIC) is a photo identity card issued by the Election Commission of India to all persons who are eligible to vote. It is a daunting task at the time of election to make a list of people who are eligible to vote in the election. The main purpose of making Voter ID card is to register eligible people to vote and to deliver these people to the polling station at the time of election.

How to check your name in voter list online

step 1: National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) website https://www.nvsp.in/ You can check that your name has been entered correctly.

Step 2: Now, you have to open the official website.

Step 3: Here on the main page, the search option in Electoral will appear.

Step 4: You have to click on that option and after clicking on it a webpage will open where you have to enter your information.

Step 5: Now the new webpage will show you two ways to check name in voter list.

Step 6: The first option to search is this, in which you have to enter your name, father / husband’s name, age, date of birth and gender. After entering this information you have to enter your state, district and assembly constituency.

Step 7: Another option to search is to search by EPIC number. In this process you have to enter your EPIC number and state.

Step 8: For both these options, you need to authenticate this information on the website by entering a captcha code at the end.

Step 9: After this information is completed, the webpage will show you the voter registration details.

Apart from this, you can also check your name in the voter list through SMS. For this we have described the process below.

step 1: First of all, you have to go to the message section of your mobile and then type EPIC.

Step 2: Now type your Voter ID card number.

Step 3: After this send this SMS to 9211728082 or 1950.

Step 4: After sending the message, your polling station number and name will come.

Step 5: If no record is found, it will tell that your name is not in the voter list.
