Volkswagen Virtus Booking Starts In India: Volkswagen’s new sedan Vertus is seeing tremendous craze among the people and the good news is that the booking of this midsize sedan has started in India ahead of the launch. You can book it for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The company has also started production of the Vertus at its manufacturing plant in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Recently, Volkswagen unveiled its new sedan Vertus in India and it will replace the Volkswagen Vento. The all-new Volkswagen Virtus will compete with the best selling Honda City in the midsize sedan car segment as well as popular cars like the new Skoda Slavia, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.

Talking about the look and features of Volkswagen Vertus, it has been developed on the MQB AO IN platform under the partnership of Volkswagen and Skoda. The recently launched Skoda Slavia sedan is also based on this platform. The Volkswagen Vertus is 4561 mm long, 1752 mm wide and 1507 mm high. The Vertus has a wheelbase of 2651 mm, which is the highest in the midsize sedan segment. As of now, the Volkswagen Vertus has a single slate grille with chrome surround, integrated L-shaped LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, wide air dam, dual tone alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, chrome-plated door handles, contrast. There are black ORVMs and sloping rooflines.

The new sedan Volkswagen Virtus is offered in multiple variants across trim levels such as Standard and GT Line. The company is set to launch the Vertus with color options like Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel Grey, Curcuma Yellow, Reflex Silver and Rising Blue Metallic. Talking about the engine and power of Volkswagen Virtus, two engine options are being seen in it, in which 1.0 liter 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine generates power up to 108 bhp and 175 Nm torque. At the same time, the 1.5 liter 4 cylinder TSI petrol engine is capable of generating 147 bhp power and 250 Newton torque.
