Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia have been awarded 5-star safety ratings in Global New Car Assessment Program crash tests. This car has been manufactured in India. Both these cars have managed to avoid a head-on collision between a 3-year-old child and an adult passenger.
Both these cars got a score of 29.71 for adult occupant protection and 42 for child occupant protection safety. In testing, both the cars are driven at a speed of 64 kmph. Rating is given by the injury on the child and adult dummy placed in it.
Apart from this, the bodyshell has also been rated to be stable and capable of withstanding forward loads. In the crash test, both the mid-size sedans are said to be the safest cars produced in the country so far.
