Vladimir Putin announced the possibility of multiplying car production: conditions have been created

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the creation of conditions in the country and state support measures for a multiple increase in car production, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Measures to support the automotive industry are, in principle, sufficient to multiply the output of automotive equipment, including the most popular passenger cars, in the near future.

Yesterday it became known about the fact that the production of cars of the Chinese company BAIC began at the Avtotor Kaliningrad plant. The plant will produce glass, bumpers, washer tanks, exhaust systems, seats, tires, batteries. Next year, the plant will start producing electric motors, gearboxes, inverters, control systems and other components of its own production.

At the end of last year, 687,370 new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 58.8% less than in 2021. The reasons for this fall were the cessation of official deliveries of new cars of most brands and the lack of cars from dealers.
