The social network VKontakte has launched the ability to create a personal virtual avatar. The new feature is called vmoji, about its coming soon mentioned technical director of VKontakte Alexander Tobol at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June. Now this feature has become available to users of the social network. You can create a set of stickers with your virtual avatar in the updated version of the VKontakte application. Stickers will help you express yourself online, demonstrating your own style or sense of humor, according to the creators of the innovation. You can share emotions using a personal set of stickers in VK Messenger chats, stories and clips, comments on VKontakte publications.
A user’s virtual avatar is created using a custom rendering style, face recognition technology, and VKontakte generative models. All this allows you to simulate an avatar that looks like the person shown in the photo. To create your character, just choose a profile photo, upload your favorite picture or take a selfie. The neural networks themselves will offer the appearance for the avatar. You can also customize it manually or edit individual elements, such as facial features, skin tone, hairstyle or clothes. The basic set of vmoji stickers is available for free. There are also paid premium features: you can complement the image with special unique elements.
