ViewSonic has introduced a new monitor, the VX2776-2K-PRO, aimed at gamers. It combines high refresh rate, fast response and the ability to display HDR content, as well as support for technology to protect gamers’ eyes.
The ViewSonic VX2776-2K-PRO features a 27-inch Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 185Hz. In addition, the matrix has a high response speed – only 1 ms. The new product supports FlickerFree (no flickering) Adaptive Sync (preventing frame tearing) technologies, as well as the HDR standard.
The set of monitor interfaces includes two HDMI 2.0 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.2 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. ViewSonic notes that to achieve a 185 Hz refresh rate, users must connect the monitor via DisplayPort – when using HDMI, the screen will not be able to accelerate above 144 Hz due to limitations of the standard itself.
The new product has already gone on sale in China at a price of 1,599 yuan (about $225); there is no information yet about its appearance on the global market.
