In 2023, 20.86 percent more vehicles were sold as compared to FY 2022. According to the data released by FADA, during 2023, a total of 22150222 vehicles were sold across the country. While in the year 2022, a total of 18327326 vehicles were sold across the country.
Excellent performance of two wheelers
The excellent performance of two wheeler companies continued. Two wheeler companies sold a total of 15995968 units in the last financial year. While during the year 2022, the companies had sold a total of 13494214 units. The top five companies included Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycle, TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto and Royal Enfield.
How were passenger vehicle sales
Passenger vehicle sales also saw an increase as compared to the year 2022. During 2022, 2942273 units were sold while in FY 2023 a total of 3620039 units have been sold. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Kia and Toyota made it to the top five companies.
