In May this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a drone festival in New Delhi and said, “At a time when we are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, it is my dream to have India in everyone’s hands. There should be a smartphone. There should be a drone in every farm, and there should be prosperity in every household.”
Thus this is the first passenger drone unveiled. It is an indigenous drone named ‘Varuna’ and has been manufactured by a startup ‘Sagar Defence’. This drone has been designed for the Indian Navy, so that the Navy will use it to transport goods from one ship to another in the sea. In this way, the work of the Indian Navy will become much easier.
