US regulator approves deliveries of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft for the first time since May 2021

Reuters, citing its sources, writes that the US Federal Aviation Administration has approved the delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner since May 2021. It is expected that the aircraft will be delivered to American Airlines tomorrow, August 10, and the operation of the liner will begin in the coming weeks.

In September 2020, the US Federal Aviation Administration launched an investigation into manufacturing defects identified in several Boeing 787s, and in May 2021, Boeing stopped deliveries of the Dreamliner after the regulator raised doubts about the aircraft’s quality control system.
