US Civil Aviation Administration postpones 5G rollout due to technology dangers

The FAA warned that 5G could potentially negatively impact aircraft systems. However, the report also indicates that there is no support for this hypothesis. Nevertheless, under the influence of the FAA, American operators AT&T and Verizon agreed to suspend the introduction of the new band. Many experts and representatives of the telecommunications industry strongly opposed the FAA decision.

Experts say that if interference were possible, they would have already been noticed. However, it is not just the United States that is opposed to 5G in the aviation industry. Canadian airports have also restricted 5G services. This is due to concerns that the technology could interfere with the operation of some of the airport’s navigation equipment.
