US Army to ride Hummer EV with 483 km range!

The Defense Branch of GM (General Motors) has been selected by the US military to offer a fully electric vehicle for use as a demo. The military wants to see through this demo whether that electric vehicle from GM is a better option for future military use. Let us tell you that GMC currently has the Hummer EV, which is a tremendous electric pickup truck. The electric car is capable of generating 1,000 horsepower and can deliver a range of over 300 miles (about 483 km) on a single charge, the company claims. It also has very fast charging.

INSIDEEVs according GM has announced that the US Army wants a demo of a fully electric vehicle from the company, through which it can be ensured that the company’s vehicle will prove to be a reliable option for the military in the future. Although the name of the vehicle has not been given here, but it can definitely be Hummer EV.

The Hummer EV is one of the most powerful fully electric pickup trucks in the market right now. As we mentioned, the Hummer EV is capable of generating a maximum power of 1000 hp and the company claims that it can cover a range of 300 miles on a single charge. The company claims that using its DC fast charging, this pickup truck can be charged to cover a distance of 100 miles (about 160 km) in 12 minutes. Talking about power, it can accelerate from 0-60 mph (about 97 kmph) in just 3 seconds.

Not only in hardware, it is also no less than a tank in appearance. It is also extremely expensive compared to other electric pickup trucks. Maybe that’s why GM is producing so little of its Hummer EV.

The report, citing Automotive News, says the US military says it needs light to heavy duty battery electric vehicles to support a reduced reliance on fossil fuels in both operational and garrison environments. Simultaneously, GM has also announced that it will provide the Hummer EV as a potential candidate to meet the needs of the military.
