New Delhi: The Yogi government is moving at a fast pace to make the state a hub of the medical device industry. The Medical Device Park being built on 350 acres in Gautam Budh Nagar will not only manufacture medical equipment but will also generate employment in large numbers. Plots have also been allotted to 59 entrepreneurs so far by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).

After the construction of the manufacturing plant for equipment ranging from oxygen concentrator to X-ray machine, anaesthesia, cardiac catheter, orthopedic implant, where about 5000 new employment opportunities will be available directly, while indirectly 25 more will be created in the entire state. About 1000 jobs are expected to be created.

According to the data released by Yeida, a total of 59 plots ranging from 4000 square meters to 1000 square meters have been allotted to companies manufacturing medical device equipment. These companies will set up their own factories here by investing more than 415 crores. Companies here deal in Orthopedic Implants, Oxygen Concentrator, Anesthesia Needle & Kit, Anesthesia Work Station, Spinal Implant, X Ray Machine, Endoscopic, Gastrology Medical Device, Biliary Stent, ICU Ventilator, ECG Machine, Trauma Management Implant, Coronary Stent, Hemodialysis Kit, CVC Kit, AVF Needle, Heart-Lung Bypass Kit, Cancer Care Equipment, Video Colposcopic Machine, Chemotherapy Device, Radiology Device, Nuclear Imaging Device, Intraocular Lens, Ophthalmic Medical Device, Portable Mobile Lab, Electrolyte Analyzer, Bio Safety Cabinet, Hematology Analyzer, Vitro diagnostic kit, RTPCR will manufacture Kovid 19 kit etc. There is a possibility of a big change in UP due to the manufacturing of such a large number of medical equipment.
