Third party apps like Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm are not responsible for UPI Payment transferred to the wrong account. For this, you have to contact directly in your bank account, with which your UPI Payment is linked to the bank account. In such a situation, if the money has been transferred to the wrong account, then you have to give information directly to the customer care of the bank. By the way, in most cases, customer care gives information about direct mail to the bank.

Bank will have to mail
Mailing to your respective bank gets resolved in most of the cases. But if the matter is not resolved by mail, then you will have to visit the concerned bank branch. However, before visiting the back branch all the documents like mail printout have to be carried along. After this, the bank manager can reply and refund the money in the bank.

what is the rule
According to the order of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), it is necessary for the bank to settle the complaint within 7 to 15 days of receiving the complaint of transfer of money to the wrong account. In such a situation, if money is transferred to the wrong account, the concerned bank account and bank official should be contacted as soon as possible.

If the person spends the money sent on your behalf to the wrong account, then according to the rules, the bank will have to refund your money. While the balance of the person spending the money will be made negative.
