Jeep has launched the Compass Trailhawk in India at a price of Rs 30.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the top variant of the Compass S diesel automatic, the price of this off-road focused variant has been kept at Rs 1.38 lakh more.
The Compass Trailhawk has been given all the updates that were seen in the Compass facelift launched in January 2021. Compared to the pre facelift version, the Trailhawk 2022 gets a new front bumper, updated grille, thinner LED headlights and daytime running lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. Not many changes have been made in its rear profile.
Now the question arises that how different is the Trailhawk from the regular compass? Let us tell you that different types of bumpers have been given in it, which will give better approach and departure angle in it. Apart from this, it also gets ‘Trailhawk’ alloy with 225/65R17 all-season tyres, hood decal, scuff plates, ‘Trailhawk’ badging on the fenders and boot and red colored toe hooks on the rear bumper.
Most of the updates have been done in its cabin. It gets a fresh design dashboard with leather inserts all over the dashboard and black leather seats with Trailhawk Inscription. Features like automatic LED projector headlights, cornering LED fog lamps, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone AC Features like, panoramic sunroof, and rain sensing wipers have been given.
For safety, it has been provided with features like full underbody protection plates, 360-degree camera, traction control, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, six airbags, and electronic roll mitigation.
The regular model of the Compass Trailhawk is also offered with a 170 PS powerful 2-L diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive. Like before, diesel manual and petrol engine options have not been given in it.
Talking about the mechanical updates, the suspension system has been finely tuned for more ground clearance and water wedding depth. Traction control modes like Snow, Mud and Auto have also been given in it as well as this time the exclusive ‘Rock’ mode has also been given in the new model. Apart from this, it also gets features of low range drive system with 20:1 crawl ratio, frequency, selective damping suspension and hill descent control.
