Update your Aadhaar for FREE today, work will be done from home; money will be received after 10 days

If you have not updated your Aadhaar Card yet, then it is being updated online for free, get it done immediately or else you will have to pay for it after a few days. Actually, UIDAI has extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar card online till June 14, 2024. This means that Indians still have about 10 days to update their Aadhaar card details (Identity Proof (POI) and Address Proof (POA) etc.) for free. If your Aadhaar is also very old and has not been updated since it was made, then do this work immediately. You can complete this work in a few steps sitting at home.

As per the Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Regulations, 2016, Indians must update their POI and POA documents every ten years from their Aadhaar enrolment date. This rule also applies to updating a child’s biometric details on the blue Aadhaar card at the age of 5 and 15 years. Specifically, you can update details such as name, address, date of birth/age, gender, mobile number, email address, relationship status, among others, online for free.

Why is it necessary to update Aadhaar?

Aadhaar is a 12 digit unique identity number issued to Indian residents. Whether it is to avail government facilities, take a loan from a bank, register property, get Ayushman card made, get Samagra ID made or any other work, Aadhaar card is useful everywhere. For this, it is very important to keep it updated. By updating, duplication and fraud can be avoided.

How to update Aadhaar online?

Simple steps to update Aadhaar details online:

– Visit the UIDAI website uidai.gov.in and select your preferred language.

– Now click on “My Aadhaar” tab and select “Update your Aadhaar” from the dropdown menu.

– Now you will be redirected to the “Update Aadhaar Details (Online)” page. Here click on “Document Update” and proceed.

– Now enter your UID number and captcha code, then click on “Send OTP” to receive OTP on your registered mobile number.

– After receiving the OTP, enter it and click on “Login”.

– Now select the demographic details you want to update (like name, address, date of birth, etc.) and fill in the new information correctly.

– Double-check the information filled in and then click on “Submit” and upload the scanned copies of the required documents in support of your update request.

– Now click on “Submit Update Request”. You will receive an Update Request Number (URN) via SMS to track the status of your request.

Documents required for Aadhaar update

Here is a list of documents that you can use to update your Aadhaar on the myAadhaar portal:

Proof of Identity: Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Voter ID, Government issued ID card, Marksheet, Marriage Certificate, Ration Card.

Proof of Address: Bank statement (not older than 3 months), electricity or gas connection bill (not older than 3 months), passport, marriage certificate, ration card, property tax receipts (not older than one year), government issued ID card.

But keep in mind that you cannot update your biometric details online for free.

To update biometric details like facial photos, iris scan or fingerprints, you need to visit your nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre. Here’s how you can update these details:

– To locate the nearest enrolment centre, use the UIDAI website bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar/.

– Provide your biometric details (fingerprint, iris scan and photograph).

– Follow the instructions given at the centre for authentication.

– Submit any required documents for verification.

-You will get a receipt with URN to track your biometric update status.

After June 14, you will have to pay this much money

Although you can update your identity and address documents online for free till June 14, 2024, but after that you will have to pay a fee. Rs 25 will have to be paid for online update and Rs 50 for offline update. By taking advantage of this free update window and following the steps mentioned above, you can ensure that your Aadhaar details remain accurate and secure, giving you easy access to essential services and financial transactions.
