Upcoming new MG electric car, will run up to 480KM, 360 degree camera and 75+ connected features

MG Motor India is going to launch the facelift of its electric car ZS EV in India. Its launch will be done on 7 March. Before launching, the company is disclosing its features one by one. In the latest statement, the company said that the i-SMART technology has been given in the ZS EV facelift, through which more than 75 connected features will be offered in the car. Services from partners like Jio, Park+, MapMyIndia, and Shortpedia will also be offered in the vehicle. 

MapMyIndia will provide online navigation and live traffic updates to the customer through its advanced 4D maps. On the other hand, Park+ allows users to pre-book and pre-pay for parking slots before reaching their destination. For entertainment, customers can enjoy JioSaavn’s music and podcast streaming service in this. Whereas with Shortpedia one can read or listen to the latest news in English and Hindi.

The powertrain is being upgraded in the new car with a range of up to 480KM . The new MG ZS EV is expected to get a bigger battery pack with more range. The current ZS EV gets a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery, while the facelifted model could have a bigger 51kWh battery. The new battery can offer a range of up to 480 km on a full charge. However, there will be no change in the power figure. The current model generates power of 143 hp and peak torque of 353 Nm.

Features like 360 ​​degree camera
The company is also going to make many changes in the features of the new ZS EV. It will now get a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system in place of the old 8.0-inch unit and a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster replacing the analog dials. Additionally, it will also get an ADAS system and a 360-degree camera. As for the ADAS system, it will use the same camera and radar setup as the MG Aster.
