Electric Cars: The Indian electric car market is growing rapidly. Tata Motors is currently ruling the passenger EV market with around 80% market share. However, now things may change in future as a number of brands are entering the EV space. Recently Mahindra has introduced its new XUV400 electric SUV, which is to be launched in January next year. Apart from this, many companies have announced to bring EVs. But, people do not have many options for affordable EVs at the moment. However, now some cheap electric cars are about to be launched, whose price can range from 10 to 15 lakh rupees.
TATA TIAGO EV
CITROEN C3 EV
Citroen has been building its entry-level electric car for the growing markets including India and Brazil. The company will launch an all-new electric car based on the C3 hatchback. It can be unveiled by December 2022 and then launched in the first quarter of 2023. The new model will be based on the CMP platform, which will come with multiple body styles and powertrains. This could also be a car offering a range of 300km.
MG SMALL EV
MG Motor India has started testing its new entry-level electric car, which is expected to be launched in the first half of 2023. It will be based on the Wuling Air EV. It was debuted in Indonesia earlier this year. Its price in the Indian market can be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. It can be brought for the purpose of being used as an urban commuter in crowded cities.
