After seven months, the police has revealed the murder of a young man due to a dispute over homosexual relations in the Kila police station area of ​​Bareilly. The accused has also been arrested.

The dead body of a youth named Anas was found on the railway track in Swalenagar Navadiya on June 1, 2024. The deceased’s mother Shabnam had filed a case against unknown persons on June 3. Police investigation revealed that the accused Hamid Ahmed, who was a friend of the deceased, had killed Anas.

The murder took place over a rift in homosexual relations.

During police interrogation, Hamid confessed that he had homosexual relations with Anas. But when he came to know that Anas was in contact with another young man, he became angry. When Anas ignored him despite repeated refusals, Hamid strangled him to death with a rope and ran away after throwing the body.

After the murder, the accused threw the body on the railway track, so that people would think that Anas had died after being hit by a train. Police have also recovered the rope used in the murder.

Police arrested the accused youth

Officials of Kila police station said that the accused committed the murder due to a dispute regarding his relationship with the deceased. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail and the investigation of the case is still going on.
