A 28 -year -old youth from Haryana set his married girlfriend on fire, as he refused to run away with her. The accused wearing a lehenga entered the woman’s house and started pressurizing him to forcefully walk with him. On refusing, he put petrol and set it on fire.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, the 30 -year -old Rekha was alone in her house. Her children went to school and husband Sanju was at work. Then Umesh of Hasanpur village in Haryana, who is his brother’s brother, reached his house wearing a lehenga. He asked Rekha to walk with him, but he refused. Angry Umesh put petrol on him and set it on fire.
Burned by putting petrol on girlfriend
Hearing the screams, the neighbors reached the spot, by then Umesh was badly injured in an attempt to run away from the roof. As soon as the information was received, the police reached and both were referred to SN Medical College, Agra in critical condition.
According to the police, Rekha and Umesh had already had a relationship. On August 31, Rekha ran away from home with Umesh. He was later brought back from Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh on 10 February. After this Rekha distanced himself from Umesh.
Police engaged in investigating case
Angered by this, he attacked this attack. At present, the police has not registered a case. Station in -charge Sanjay Kumar Pandey said, both are in critical condition, priority is to save their lives.
