Intel seems to have decided to sell off the remaining Core i9-12900K processors, significantly reducing their price.
In the US, the novelty is now asking for $417 against the original $589. A similar decline was also recorded in Europe, where the price of the CPU fell from 750 to 500 euros.
Thus, now the Core i9-12900K has ceased to be a disadvantageous purchase. For comparison, in the US for a similar performance Ryzen 9 5950X they ask about $ 500, and even the Ryzen 9 5900X is a bit more expensive. The Core i7-13700K, which is somewhat faster than last year’s flagship, is also slightly more expensive, as is the new Ryzen 9 7900X. As a result, now the Core i9-12900K can be considered as one of the options, while at the old price it lost a lot to all the CPUs mentioned above in terms of price and performance.
