German brand Audi electrifies its lineup ahead of the transition to fully electric vehicles in 2026. However, several more models with internal combustion engines are still under development.
The brand plans to use unique numbers for these models, i.e. A7 – this is what was previously produced under the name A6. Recent spy photos allowed motor1 to create exclusive renderings of the novelty.
The A7 Avant will have a wider singleframe radiator grille with horizontal chromed plates, as well as slimmer LED headlights and larger air intakes at the corners of the bumper.
The new universal Audi will get wider wheel arches with extendable door handles, which improve the aerodynamics of the car. The rear is equipped with an LED strip, which covers the entire width of the body.
Currently the A6 and A6 Avant are offered with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains, depending on the market. It is reported that the sedan A7 and its analog-universal will receive new power units «mild hybrid» and PHEV.
It is expected that Audi will first introduce the sedan A7, and then the universal Avant.
