Unemployment India: A report has been issued by International Level Organization and Institute of Human Development, after which the issue of unemployment has become heated. According to India Employment Report 2024, the youth of India are struggling with increasing unemployment.

Unemployment rate in India: Before the elections in the country, the issue of unemployment has once again arisen. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also taken a dig at the government on this. A report has been issued by International Level Organization and Institute of Human Development, after which the issue of unemployment has become heated. According to India Employment Report 2024, the youth of India are struggling with increasing unemployment. Youth constitute 83 percent of the total unemployed in India.

Let us tell you what is this entire report, on which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is taunting the government…

ILO and IHD jointly released the report

ILO in collaboration with the Institute of Human Development (IHD) has released ‘India Employment Report 2024’. According to this report, if 100 people are unemployed in India, then the number of youth out of them is 83. At the same time, most of the youth are educated.

Number of educated unemployed doubled

According to this report of ILO, the number of educated unemployed in the country has now doubled as compared to the year 2000. If we talk about educated unemployed in the year 2000, this number was around 35.2 percent. At the same time, in the year 2022, this number has increased to 65.7 percent. Among the educated youth, the names of those who have studied at least till 10th standard have been included.

Rahul Gandhi tweeted

Rahul Gandhi has written on social media X that only yesterday I had asked, ‘Did Narendra Modi have any scheme for employment?’
Government’s reply came today itself – No

India Employment Report 2024 is not only a document of the massive failure of the Modi government on employment but also a seal of approval on the employment policy of Congress.

According to the report, 83% of the total unemployed people of India are youth, either they do not have a job or they are forced to work in bad conditions at very low wages.

The report says 65% educated youth are unemployed – our guarantee is that we will fill 30 lakh government posts.

The report says there is a skill gap – we will make freshers a skilled work force through ‘Pehli Naukri Pakki’.

The report says new jobs will have to be created – our ‘Youth Light’ guarantee is bringing ₹ 5000 crore help for start-ups.

The report says workers do not have social security and secure employment – we are going to change their lives under labor justice.

The policies of Congress are the ‘guarantee of employment’, this has also been proved by the government report.

BJP means unemployment and helplessness, Congress means employment revolution.

The difference is clear!

People lost their jobs due to Corona

According to this study, youth employment and underemployment have increased between 2000 and 2019, but a decline was seen in the year of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, during this Corona epidemic, youth educated at higher level lost their jobs. During the Corona period, people had to face a lot of jobless problems.

These people did not get wages in 2022

Apart from this, if we talk about wages, then it is also declining. Since 2019, there has been a decline in the income of both regular workers and self-employed people. Apart from this, unskilled casual workers drawing minimum wages also did not get wages in the year 2022.

Bad consequences of unemployment in these states

States like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have been struggling with poor employment outcomes in the last few years. Due to the regional policies of these states, people are facing unemployment.

There is a lack of digital literacy

According to this report, lack of skills is also visible among the youth. This is a matter of concern. A large part of the youth is still not digitally literate and they do not even have basic information. Because of this, the impact of unemployment on these people is very high.
