UN Lo Res: This electric car has no windows, no doors, alien ship design

United Nude has designed such an electric car that at first glance you would refuse to consider it a car. Like any arcade game car in the ’70s, the UN Lo Res electric car with a polygonal design looks nothing less than a UFO. More than that, the story of this car will not end only in prototypes, but it will be in limited production and it has also been made available for sale through auction.

TOI’s accordingthe UN Lo Res electric car concept was listed for sale on Bring A Trailer in October 2021 at an initial bid of $45,000 (approximately Rs 37.1 lakh).

Lo Res Electric Car It was designed by the founder of the UN, Rem D. Koolhaas. The maker of this quirky electric car says the Lamborghini Countach is the inspiration for the car and the game of the 70s is its aesthetic. The concept vehicle is one of four prototypes commissioned by the footwear company for promotional purposes. Last year it was also put up for auction.

Talking about its design, the Low-Res has no doors or windows, but a canopy made of 12 tinted polycarbonate panels, which will serve as a 360-degree view of the outside to the people sitting inside. It gets light bars at the front and rear, which are probably the head and tail lamps.

This Electric Car The wheels are completely covered in black colored metal. It uses a steel tube-frame chassis. The UN Lo Res is powered by a KDS 5 kW electric motor, paired with a single-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. At the front, it gets disc brakes.

At the same time, its biggest USP, when it comes to its canopy, it is remote-controlled, and when opened, one can see the fixed seats made of polished metal. The cabin looks quite intriguing. It got a hexagonal steering wheel and polished instrument panel, which has two digital displays.
