“Ukroboronprom” reported that “Kharkov Armored Plant” for the first time carried out a global modernization of the T-64BVK command tank, showing a video of tests of the updated equipment.
It is noted that during the modernization, the car received modern devices, for example, a television monitoring system for the surrounding space, satellite navigation equipment and a tower with an NSVT machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber. Also, the T-64BVK received additional filters for cleaning the fuel system and a video surveillance camera for the crew commander, the detection range of which is almost two kilometers.
The modernization of a command tank is extremely responsible, since it is necessary not only to significantly improve the existing characteristics, but also to create all the appropriate conditions for the effective management of the unit in all weather conditions and at any time of the day. The staff of the plant has successfully completed this task. This is of particular importance in the context of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
