Ukraine allowed to marry via Zoom

Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Valeria Kolomiets said that the authorities allowed marriages in the country to be performed remotely, including via Zoom. This measure will be in effect during martial law, which was introduced throughout Ukraine on February 24, and on March 26, the Rada extended it for another 30 days.

“People who have expressed a desire can get married within a day. Marriage registration can take place in any body of the registry office in the territory where there are no hostilities. Under certain conditions, marriages can be registered not only by employees of the registry office, but also by police and military. This is true for lovers who are on duty, they can be connected remotely simply via Zoom.– said Valeria Kolomiets.
