UKPSC Exam Latest Update: The last PCS Mains exam was held in the year 2017. Now PCS main exam is held in 2023. There is a gap of five years between the two PCS exams. Therefore, the commission has decided that now there will be no such difference between the two PCS examinations.

Rakesh Kumar told that till now the pattern of Uttarakhand PCS and UPSC Civil Services Exam are different. Because of this, the youth have to prepare separately for both the exams. The Commission has decided that now the pattern of Civil Services Examination will be applicable in the State PCS Examination also. The commission has passed its proposal and sent it to the government. After the permission of the government, this change will be implemented from the PCS-2023 exam itself.

Personnel Department asked for vacancies

Under the decision to conduct PCS examination every year, the Personnel Department in the government has also come into action. The department has sent letters to all the departments seeking vacancies for PCS. After the vacancies come, a proposal for recruitment (requisition) will be sent to the State Public Service Commission from the government level, on the basis of which the commission will issue a release.

Women’s reservation duly implemented

According to Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of the State Public Service Commission, the Uttarakhand Government has issued the Uttarakhand Public Service (Horizontal Reservation for Women) Act, 2022, in respect of horizontal reservation for women domiciled in Uttarakhand, the commission has issued it for all examinations.
