British two-wheeler manufacturer Norton Motorcycles recently introduced its latest motorcycle – the Commando 961 in the UK market. The bike comes in two variants – Cafe Racer and Sport (SP) model. It is powered by a 961cc parallel-twin air-cooled engine that is capable of generating 77 hp of maximum power and 81 Nm of peak torque. It has a 15-litre fuel tank. The bike is equipped with Brembo’s braking system and gets ABS with front radial mount calipers.
The price of the Norton Commando 961 motorcycle starts from £16,499 (approximately Rs.15 lakh) and goes up to £16,999 (approximately Rs.15.46 lakh). The bike comes in Matrix Black and Max Platinum color options.
TVS Norton’s latest Commando 961 bike is powered by a 961cc parallel-twin air-cooled engine that is capable of producing 77 bhp @ 7,250 rpm and peak torque of 81 Nm @ 6,300 rpm. This motorcycle has a fuel tank of 15-litres.
Both the Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer and Sport models get a full analog speedometer and tachometer, which comes in a round shape. These motorcycles have been given a small digital insert for the trip computer. Suspension is handled by 43 mm Ohlins USD adjustable front forks and fully adjustable Ohlins shocks at the rear. For braking, Norton Commando 961 is equipped with Brembo braking system.
Indian Two-Wheeler Manufacturers in April 2020 TVS Motor Company acquired Norton Motorcycles for 16 million British pounds (about Rs 145 crore). Since then, TVS has invested £100 million (approximately Rs.909 crore) in Norton Motorcycles.
