A man in Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur paid Rs 50,000 only in coins to buy his scooter. A video has surfaced on social media where a youth went to a local TVS dealership to buy a new scooter and paid Rs 50,000 in coins for payment. The good thing is that the dealership accepted this payment as well. The person had gone to buy TVS Jupiter scooter.
Lakshya Rana (@LakshyaRana6) has shared a video on Twitter, in which a youth living in Rudrapur can be seen waiting for the employees of a TVS two-wheeler showroom to count the payments. In the video, the employees can be seen counting Rs 50,000 in the Rs 10 coins that the youth brought along to buy his new TVS Jupiter scooter.
The youth confirms to the video maker that he has brought Rs 50,000 for payment, which is Rs 10 coins. The sheet metal wheels and drum brake variants of Jupiter in Rudrapur are priced at Rs 85,210 (on-road). However, the video does not reveal how the dues were paid.
The TVS Jupiter scooter comes with a 110 cc, single-cylinder scooter engine and features the company’s Ecothrust fuel-injection technology. The scooter is capable of generating a maximum power of 7.4 hp and peak torque of 8.4 Nm.
Recently bought my favorite two wheeler from my coin collection. At the same time, in March 2022, a 29-year-old man from Tamil Nadu bought a Bajaj Dominar 400 with 2.6 lakh coins of Re 1 denomination.
