Truecaller has launched a new feature called Truecaller Fraud Insurance. This service has been launched only in India right now and is available for both iOS and Android users. Its purpose is to protect premium subscribers from fraud. If any fraud happens with them, then this service will help them. Truecaller has partnered with HDFC Ergo to provide this service. Online fraud has increased a lot nowadays and this new feature will help those users who fall prey to it. But for now, this feature is available only for premium subscribers of Truecaller.
What is Fraud Insurance Feature?
Truecaller has introduced a new feature to protect against fraud, called Truecaller Fraud Insurance. This service has been launched in collaboration with HDFC ERGO, a large insurance company of India. In this insurance, you can get a benefit of up to ₹ 10,000, if you are cheated. The best thing is that this insurance can be activated and managed in the Truecaller app itself. You do not need to go anywhere else. For now, this service is available only for premium subscribers of Truecaller.
Who can use this feature?
Truecaller Premium Subscribers: This insurance is only for users with Truecaller’s year-long premium plan. Some existing premium plans will get this insurance at no additional cost.
Truecaller Family users: If you have taken Truecaller Family plan, then you can also give the benefits of this insurance to your family members.
Upgrade option: If you are not eligible for this insurance right now, you can upgrade your plan and then avail its benefits.
How to activate?
Open the Truecaller app: First, make sure that you have the latest version of the Truecaller app installed on your phone.
Search for insurance options: Now go to the settings or premium features section of the app and there you will find the option of fraud insurance.
Turn on insurance: After this you will get some easy instructions, following which you can start this insurance for yourself.
