Wagon R Turned Into Helicopter: You would hardly have seen such a modification in which the car is converted into a helicopter. In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, two brothers had almost transformed Maruti Suzuki WagonR into a helicopter, when the police came to know about it.
Transforming Wagon R Into Helicopter: You must have seen different types of modified cars. There is a different craze for modifying cars all over the world. The craze of modification is increasing in India also. But, you would hardly have seen such a modification in which the car is converted into a helicopter. In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, two brothers had almost transformed Maruti Suzuki WagonR into a helicopter, when the police came to know about it.
After this, Ambedkarnagar police seized the Wagon R which was converted into a helicopter. Actually, he had not taken permission from the concerned department for the modification. Therefore, the police took action and confiscated the vehicle. Ambedkar Nagar ASP Vishal Pandey said, “A modified car was seized. It was modified without prior permission. Action has been taken under the MVA Act.”
Both the brothers (modifiers) have done major modifications to the Wagon R. A rotor system was installed on its roof and the rear was designed like a helicopter tail. But, before the project could be completed, the police took action citing violation of rules. A video of the WagonR-copter parked inside the police station has also surfaced.

As can be seen in the video, the old WagonR model has been used. It has been given a helicopter-like tail and rotor blades on the roof. In its current state it does not appear that it is capable of flying. But, this shows the innovative spirit, where the car was being converted into a helicopter with ‘jugaad’ with modifications.
