Now cabs or auto passengers will not be able to cancel the ride and if someone does so then he may have to pay a fine ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 500. This change made by the Tamil Nadu government in the traffic rules is going to be very relief for those people, who mostly travel in cabs or autos.
Fine ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 500
According to media reports, such cases were coming to the fore for a long time, in which it was being said that the cab drivers cancel the booked ride at the last minute or refuse to take the passengers. Keeping such cases in mind, the Tamil Nadu government came up with a new rule that if cabs or autos refuse to carry passengers, they will be fined from Rs 50 to Rs 500. With this, now the passengers will be able to travel by auto-cab.
And what are the rules?
According to the report, using mobile, tab, music player while riding a bike attracts a fine of Rs 1000. After the first fine, if caught doing such an act again, the amount of fine will be 10 times i.e. 10,000 rupees. Apart from this, there is a fine of Rs 5,000 for driving without a license and Rs 1,000 (for the first time) and Rs 10,000 (for the second time) for signal jumping.
