This SUV is a 7-seater SUV based on the Corolla Cross sold in the global market. The company has built it on its modular TNGA-C platform. It can get both front wheel drive and all wheel drive systems. It will get flat foldable seats and electrically operated tailgate. Also, this SUV can get a 2.0L, 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine and a 2.0L petrol engine, which is also seen in the Innova Highcross. Coupled with the hybrid system, this setup is capable of generating 184bhp of power. While the petrol engine can generate 172bhp power and 205Nm torque. This SUV will compete with cars like Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Meridian.
new-generation Toyota Fortuner
The new generation Fortuner is likely to arrive in India very soon as well. It is one of the most popular 7-seater SUV in the country. This SUV will be built on the TNGA-F platform with Innova Highcross. In this, some design elements with models like Sequoia, Tundra and Land Cruiser sold in the company’s global market can be given. Along with this, big updates like electric steering wheel and vehicle stability control system with ADAS system will be seen in this SUV. Also, its powertrain will be equipped with mild hybrid technology. This SUV will get 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine with regenerative braking system.
