Toyota Highrider will be a new SUV from the company, this SUV can be booked through the company’s dealership or online by paying an advance amount of Rs 25,000. This model has been produced under the partnership of Toyota and Suzuki. Its top three variants S, G, V will be brought with the strong hybrid engine option, while the rest will be given the option of mild hybrid engine.
Toyota is going to launch the new Urban Cruiser Highrider in the mid-size SUV segment and it is going to compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushak and Volkswagen Tigan in the market. At the same time, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara is also going to compete with this car. Both the models are going to share many things including the engine, it will be brought first and then Maruti’s model will be brought.
Talking about the engine, the Highrider will get a 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with mild hybrid (for the lower variant) and strong hybrid system (for the top variant). The mild hybrid version will be offered with an integrated starter generator and strong hybrid engine with a 177.6 volt lithium-ion battery and Toyota’s e-drive gearbox.

Along with this, this SUV from Toyota will get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heads up display, wireless charging, ambient interior lighting, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, cruise control, EBD with ABS, hill hold control, Features and equipment like rear parking sensors will also be provided.
It gets large full LED headlamps and crystal acrylic grille with piano black finish and the front fascia is quite aggressive with corner-to-corner chrome separators. The grille has been given a black finish and merged with double layers of LED DRLs. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels, black colored A-pillars and a floating roof.
Toyota has informed that the Highrider will be given a warranty of 3 years / 1 lakh km, which can be extended up to 5 years / 2.20 lakh km. At the same time, a warranty of 8 years / 1.60 lakh km will also be given on its hybrid battery. The company is going to make this SUV available in 7 monotone and 4 dual tone color options.
Toyota’s new SUV is being eagerly awaited as it brings with it a lot of new technology, along with it will also be a huge opportunity for the strong hybrid engine in India. Although the company has not disclosed the mileage, but the Highrider can become the most mileage car in the country.
