Toyota New Glanza Launched: Veteran vehicle company Toyota Kirloskar has launched a new version of its premium hatchback Glanza today (March 15). Its price starts from Rs 6.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This model is powered by a 1197 cc petrol engine which is available with manual and automatic transmissions. The five-speed manual variants of the Glanza have been priced at Rs 6.39 lakh-9.19 lakh while the automatic trims (AMT) have been priced between Rs 7.79 lakh-9.69 lakh. The company claims that people looking for a stylish, technical, safe and comfortable car will love this model.
Highlights of the new Glanza
- This model is powered by a 1197 cc petrol engine which is available with manual and automatic transmissions.
- According to the company’s claim, its mileage is 22 kmpl. It also has an idle start-stop function, which reduces oil consumption and emits less carbon.
- The new Glanza gets six airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), hill hold control, head-up display, 360-degree camera and 9-inch Smart Play Cast.
- It has a Toyota i-Connect which can be enabled from a smartphone or smartwatch. It has more than 45 features.
No sales target set
The company’s Executive Vice President (Sales and Customer Service) Tadesi Asazuma says that the Glanza is being liked in India and now its new version is also expected to sell better. The company has sold 66 thousand Glanzas in India so far. According to Asazuma, many orders have already been received for booking the new version. When asked what the company has set for the sale of the new Glanza, Asazuma said that Toyota does not fix the numbers and the main goal of the company is to engage as many customers as possible.
